    Hello all,

Just a quick update while I have a little free time.  I spent last weekend in the studio and am happy to say we are pretty much done tracking the debut album.  Now it’s on to mixing, editing and mastering.  We’ve started to put together a more concrete timeline and I am really really excited to share all that I’ve been working on with YOU.  In other news I have plenty of shows coming, so please try and catch me if I’m in your neighborhood.  Also, The Live EP is now available for the simple fee of signing up for my email list over at joeyoungmusic.bandcamp.com .  I promise I won’t bug you, you’ll just catch occasional updates and whatnot about my goings-ons.  Hope you are all doing well.

    Much Love,

    Joe

    The Occasional Update

I’m a terrible blogger, I’ll admit it.  I’m still back in the stone age with my non-smart phone, and throwing me even further back is my new apartment which is still without internet.  Luckily I’ve found a comfy coffee shop, Kaleo, to tuck myself in for the day and throw myself back into the loop.  Though my technological presence may not show it, I’ve been busy at work with writing, recording, promoting, and dealing with the business side of things as we start to discuss release dates and whatnot for the album.  I’m heading back into the studio the first weekend of November to finish tracking the album with the guys from The Tan Vampires.  Six more songs have been chosen to complete the album and bring it in at 11 tracks, and I can’t wait to have them all down.  We’ve also been doing some video work in hopes to get the fan funded portion of the album up and going soon.  We’re shooting for an early 2012 release date, and as I look out the window at the cold October rain falling, I realize how quickly that is approaching.  I’ve got a bunch of dates coming up, including my break into the Portland music scene coming up in December, please check out all the dates here: http://joeyoungmusic.com/live I hope all is well with you.

    Cheers!
